I was very excited to be invited into Thunder United Metro FC. Like many of our club coaches, I started learning the game while coaching my daughters’ team back in the SAY days. Some twenty years later I hold the NSCAA National diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching certificate and working on my third stint with the ODP program.

Growing up in Butler County, soccer was for the most part non-existent. In my late twenties I was asked to coach a team (my daughters). It was easy they said just tell them to kick hard a run fast. I did, they did, and we lost. I felt I owed these great kids an explanation and a better chance to learn.

I was introduced to the USSF soccer organization and its learning opportunities. I have been learning every since. From coaches lectures and out of state seminars to flying to Penn State University to complete the NSCAA National Diploma course.

I continue to learn the game and improve my teaching methodologies. I enjoy sharing what I have formerly learned as well as my own experiences of twenty years of training players.

I know that with the support of the TUMFC members and coaches we can continue to grow in the soccer community and provide our players the best environment to learn and play the great game.
